Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava

In 1890, Rudolf Kadleček founded a private music school. In 1907, the Matice školská Music and Organ School was founded in Ostrava - Mariánské Hory, providing professional education to musicians from the area. This school was later transformed into the Masaryk Institute of Music and Singing. Together with the Leoš J a načka School of Music (founded in 1935), it created the conditions for the establishment of the Higher School of Music Pedagogy - today's conservatory.
